The European Green Deal states that "energy storage and carbon capture, storage and utilization” is one of the priority areas to reduce greenhouse gas emissions of 55 % by 2030 and to become carbon neutral by 2050.

The project has received funding from the European Partnership on Metrology, co-financed by European Union Horizon Europe Research and Innovation Programme and from the Participating States.

MetCCUS in EGATEC 2024

On June 18-19, 2024, the MetCCUS project was featured in the 6th European Gas Technology Conference – EGATEC, which was held in Hamburg, Germany.

EGATEC Conference is a GERG – European Gas Research Group and MARCOGAZ event organised every two years bringing together high-level representatives from the European gas industry, universities and other stakeholders.

MetCCUS was permanently exhibited at the Scientific Poster Exhibition showcasing the project’s scope.

Iris de Krom, the project coordinator from VSL – National Metrology Institute, attended the conference and took part in the poster exhibition, highlighting the progress the project team has made so far on various activities related to flow metering, emissions monitoring, chemical metrology and physical properties.
