The European Green Deal states that "energy storage and carbon capture, storage and utilization” is one of the priority areas to reduce greenhouse gas emissions of 55 % by 2030 and to become carbon neutral by 2050.

MetCCUS publishes its final press release highlighting its finding to scale-up CCUS in Europe

MetCCUS project is wrapping up, and as part of the final details, we are sharing the press release with the project’s contributions. In this press release, you will find a summary of the contributions made by this pioneering project in developing new metrology tools for carbon capture, utilisation, and storage. The contributions will help scale-up CCUS in Europe, providing knowledge to the industry, standardisation and the scientific community. 

The project has been funded by the European Union through the European Partnership on Metrology, co-financed by the European Union Horizon Europe Research and Innovation Programme and from the Participating States. MetCCUS has had a budget of €2.1 million over its three-year duration.
